ROCK VIEW

Overview

Taking a reversed-living approach to make the most of the jaw-dropping views, the living area and kitchen can be found upstairs. With slate flooring throughout, this roomy open plan space includes a roaring wood burner for cooler evenings, a huge, luxurious grey leather sofa (big enough for everyone to sprawl out on), a large Smart TV/DVD player with Sky package and a SONOS system – you can also access Spotify from the in house iPad.

Downstairs you’ll find a gorgeous snug, with French doors leading to the lower outside area. This is a lovely spot to while away an hour or two with your favourite book or maybe even a sneaky snooze, or some of your group might like their own space to watch films on the Smart TV which also has a Sky package and a DVD player.

All bedrooms also have air conditioning installed if you prefer a cooler nights sleep.

Living Space

A stunning bespoke kitchen awaits the budding chef with beautiful white worktops, Farrow and Ball painted duck egg blue cabinets and all the gadgets and equipment you’ll need to rustle up a feast including a full complement of Cornishware (naturally!). The large cream electric Aga is the heart of the kitchen, plus there is a Miele oven and microwave. We love the large kitchen island which includes a wine fridge and doubles up as a place prep your food – or to rest a wine glass!

To the front you can open the huge bi-folding glass door which leads out to a huge, decked terrace – perfect for bringing the outside in during hotter months and which also is home to a fabulous dining table and chairs and gas BBQ for alfresco meals.

In addition, you’ll find the more formal dining area in the living space with stunning 180-degree views from the floor to ceiling windows which can also be opened in warmer weather.

There’s a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble drier plus lots of extra storage space.

Bathroom

Rock View has the use of four bathrooms and one washroom.

The bathrooms are made up of two ensuite shower rooms, one ensuite bath and shower room and a family bathroom.

Upstairs in the communal areas, there is a washroom.

Outside Area

Set overlooking acres of rolling Cornish countryside leading down to the Camel estuary, there’s plenty of space to explore and roam around. Wrapping around the house is the beautiful sun deck that leads off the kitchen with steps that take you down to the enclosed outside area. Beyond this are pretty landscaped garden areas with a pond nearby. The decking area comes complete with a gas barbeque, table and chairs – just what’s needed to settle down for a day in the sunshine. The extensive grounds include use of a paddock shared with Lowen.

There is also a little stone building beside Rock View which has been converted into a lockable bike shed, so as you can store your bikes securely for your stay.
