Overview

Barn Owl Roost is a very pretty Cornish stone cottage in a countryside setting. With views of rolling hills, it’s a secluded spot perfect for exploring the countryside and coastline around Padstow.

With an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, this is a perfect family home away from home or ideal for a couple. The property is dog-friendly too, and with outdoor space overlooking the valley it’s a perfect spot for a sunny breakfast or unwinding of an evening after a day out exploring.

There is private parking for up to three cars, WiFi throughout, an outdoor dining suite and a BBQ. The property is also baby friendly and supplied with a travel cot (bring your own bedding) and a highchair. On request a bath seat, plug socket guards, microwave bottle steriliser and plastic crockery/cutlery can be provided. There is also access to the stunning heated indoor swimming pool and separate steam room which boasts decking that overlooks the countryside.

Alongside this, there is a fantastic gym facility for all the onsite Trevear residents. It includes running machines, rowing machines, a peloton bike, smith machine and dumbbells and kettlebells, fit for whatever kind of exercise you are in too. This all can be enjoyed by listening to the perfect gym playlist on the inbuilt speaker system.

In the gym lobby you will also find a bike rack so if you fancy bringing your bikes down for your holiday there is somewhere to store them for your stay. There is also the perfect space to book yourself some “me” time and have a little pamper in our treatment room.

Barn Owl Roost is perfect for exploring the north Cornish coast. With Padstow just up the road, there are plenty of excellent places to eat and some great sandy beaches. The South West Coastal Path and Camel Estuary are well worth exploring to experience the natural beauty of this stunning area, and offer lots of activities such as watersports, cycling and fishing. Further along the coast you’ll find Rock, Polzeath and Port Isaac which are breathtakingly beautiful Cornish seaside towns.

Living Space

This open plan living space has slate flooring with under floor heating throughout and high vaulted ceilings. The living area has cosy cream sofas and matching rug and a huge wood burning stove for cooler nights. There’s a Smart TV with DVD player and Sky and a SONOS system with an iPad mini to wirelessly listen to music. French windows lead out to the patio.

The kitchen is bespoke and complete with Bosch oven, hob and microwave, a dishwasher and a Nespresso machine. A utility room houses the washer/dryer and freezer. The farmhouse – style dining table sits close to the kitchen whilst outside there’s a table and chairs for outside meals.

Bathroom

Bedroom one has an en suite bathroom complete with walk in shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail.

The family bathroom has a bath, drench-head shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Both the family bathroom and the en suite have luxury toiletries and thick, fluffy towels provided.

Outside Area

There’s plenty of car parking to the side of the property with a fully enclosed patio and garden to the front of the cottage affording great views of the rolling countryside opposite. One step leads from the living space onto the patio, there are further steps leading from the patio onto the lawn below.

It is equipped with BBQ and dining furniture.
