St Piran's Day, World Pasty Championships and spring festivals; March is the month to celebrate Cornwall.
With January (the really long month) and February (the weirdly short month) behind us, March is a welcome treat. The year happily underway, we can finally look forward to longer days, milder temperatures and the start of spring. What’s more, there is another cracking line up of events to look forward to as well, from spring festivals to St Piran’s Day celebrations. Excited? We hope so. Spring is in the Air
The evenings are getting lighter, the temperature balmier and all across the county things are livening up. To celebrate March in Cornwall and the arrival of spring, head out into the great outdoors and watch as new life flourishes. As Hal Borland said, “no winter last forever; no spring skips its turn”. A county rich in heritage and traditions, March in Cornwall brings an opportunity to come together and celebrate some of what makes Cornwall, Cornwall. Starting off with St Piran’s Day celebrations, towns and communities all over the county put on fantastic displays of unity and joy, performing parades and music throughout the streets. Also taking place this March, St Columb Hurling is a must-see with competition taking place between the “townsmen” and “countrymen”.

Boasting ample choice, March in Cornwall has lots of events ready to tease you out of your luxury cottage in Padstow. And, with a particularly important day of note this month, there’s all the more reason for celebration.
