February half term in Cornwall: adventures for the whole family
Driving down the motorway towards Cornwall, tightly sandwiched between suitcases and the dog, remains one of my favourite childhood memories. Despite the minimal amount of space and the somewhat overwhelming aroma of the dog’s breath, this medley of bits and bags meant only one thing. For my family, this trip meant a week ahead of playing on the beach (yes, even in February), walks along the coast paths, visits to exciting places and delicious meals in warm, cosy pubs. And the best part was that we were enjoying it together.
Fortunately, with the standard of holiday cottages these days, you no longer need to bring everything plus the kitchen sink. You can round off your days in a sumptuous home-from-home, lovingly filled with thoughtful details and modern luxuries, and truly let yourselves unwind.
That said, the excitement of spending quality time together in this beautiful part of the world remains the same. And, although many people only think of Cornwall as a summer destination, there is just as much fun to be had over the winter months. So now 2019 is underway, what fun can you fill your holiday with this February?
