Chances are, if you’ve spent any amount of time in North Cornwall you will have heard about the Rock Oyster Festival. If you haven’t, then you’re in for a treat.
The Rock Oyster Festival is one of North Cornwall’s favourite festivals, taking place on 6th – 7th July 2018. Bringing together food, music and live entertainment, the Rock Oyster Festival offers an eclectic mix of things to do and see. A family-friendly festival, visitors of all ages are invited to come along, from teeny tots to connoisseurs of life.
Over the past five years, the festival has raised over £10,000 for charity and the local community.
About 20 minutes from Padstow, the festival takes place at Roskear Farm near Wadebridge on the famous Camel Trail. Easily accessible on foot, by bike or car, the Rock Oyster Festival website offers clear arrival instructions for visitors.
To encourage festival goers to consider eco-friendly arrival options, the festival’s organisers are donating £1 to charity for every bike ridden to the event.
The Rock Oyster Festival 2018 promises an exciting line-up of artists and groups, featuring brilliant acts such as Caravana Sun, Australia’s self-titled favourite rebellious surf-rockers, and De Fuego, an energetic Spanish guitar duo playing flamenco and rumba-based music.
With many great artists to look forward to, there are also lots of stalls for you to peruse and various food and drink opportunities. Sample cool beverages and boogie to funky beats. Simultaneously, if you’re feeling particularly risky. The Rock Oyster Festival offers fantastic atmosphere and laid back vibes.
If you’ve got little ones in your party, there are also lots of choices for them too. Throughout the festival there are activities and workshops just for children, from skating to wild school to puppet shows. Let the kids lead the way and try lots of new things.
Child (11 and under), teen (12 – 17yrs) and adult (18+) tickets are all available for the weekend, Friday or Saturday. Book yours online now. Children go free.
